Welcome! Here you will find information on the private chef services I offer to those looking for a unique and globally inspired dining experience, no matter the occasion.

My specialty and style, being Cuban cuisine, is creatively infused with French, Chinese and Caribbean, all of which I grew up eating and have inspired my own cooking. Cuban and Latin food in general, is a delicious collage of these rich cultures and cuisines, creating something very unique and appetizing to the palate. However, I am here to create and execute a beautiful menu for you and your guests, no matter the cuisine. I’m available to do a large variety of different style foods, especially with global themes. My international travels serve an equal amount of inspiration in my kitchen as I research, work with, and create with chefs all over the world. 

We are pleased and thrilled to announce private cooking classes this summer for small groups. Private chef and TV personality, Bren Herrera, will be hosting a series of exciting demo and hands-on cooking classes where students will learn techniques, flavor pairings, seasonal trends and ingredients and get to enjoy a delectable meal or tasting* they made! Each class is custom-tailored and designed to make every 2-hour class very interactive and enjoyable, while educational. You’ll walk away full, happy, skilled and ready for another class

Summer Grilling: 3 different skewers and sauces to pair

In this hands-on class, Bren will introduce you to fun ways to grill this summer: 3 different skewers and sauces to pair. We’ll be griling summer veggies, chicken, steak and shrimp, and seasonal fruit with ice cream. You’ll be amazed at the notes fruits take on when grilled. We’ll also be making a delcious sauce for each skewer. Think chipotle cognac glaze for the fruits! Celebrate your new grilling techniques with a perfect lemon basil mocktini, using locally grown lemons and basil. Walk away a new skill and full recipes.

Pickle Me Pink: Pickling Summer Vegetables

Love burgers? Take your favorite juicy burger or sandwich to the next level with pickled toppings. Learn the tricks and techniques to pickling foods like celery, onions, carrots, and more, using herbs and spices new at Whole Foods. Bren will talk about the various ways to use, incorporate and store pickled foods. We’ll be tasting hummus with pickled toppings.

*All classes are limited to 8 people. Each class is at least 2 hours, no more than 2.5. First come, first served.

*Please arrive 10 minutes before start time so that we can all begin promptly. Every minute counts! 

*If you registered for yourself only, you will be paired with another single guest to make your dishes. 

*If you are coming with another person, please add a note when making payment so that we know to hold two seats. 

*Wine and cocktails can be purchased separately for $8 per glass or drink, unless included in class or noted otherwise.

Having a personal or private chef, one-on-one and small group or in-home personal cooking lessons are a great way to alleviate the dilemma of what to cook at home! Don’t have time to cook? Don’t know what to cook? Or need to learn how to chop an onion? How to cook that favorite steak of yours? How to make flan? Call me! I’ll come to your home and we’ll go through some basics and then prepare a simple, yet creative entrée! And you get the credit!

My philosophy in being a Private Chef is to offer my client the best quality foods, using fresh ingredients, keeping your health needs in mind, and all presented in a chic way. I’m all about time efficiency. Ultimately, my goal is to leave you with a special experience of fine dining and entertainment in the process.
