Spring is finally here! But, does it feel like it to you where you are? Are you seeing floral buds and hear birds chirping? The weather has been stunning and just about with 70 degrees and breezy air some days; and then border line depressing on others where all you want to do is crawl in your comfy bed and peruse through some delicious cookbooks (think delectable desserts and cream puffs).
Fortunately, longer waves of lovely days are around the corner and we can start planning outdoor trysts and lusting over foods and drinks that invite happiness and a free spirit! For me, the quintessential way of celebrating our accomplishments, no matter how big or small, or even the renewed solstice is to have a chilly cocktail–you know the ones that smell of fresh fruit, set the mood for the occasion and cause you to raise your glass for a “cheers!”
There is no doubt I love espresso. A refreshing iced espresso on a balmy day is even better when paired with a dash of a coffee liqueur and an Irish cream. The result is heavenly and seductive at the same time. Throw a few coffee beans on top and you have a beautiful libation to share with your friends. Not to mention, the double dose of espresso will awaken every dormant sense.
